Massimiliano Lo Turco Ph.D., Associate Professor ICAR/17 at the Department of Architecture and Design (DAD) of Politecnico di Torino. He conducts researchs in the field of digital architecture survey and modeling. He has been dealing for years in analyzing the capabilities of Building Information Modeling and Visual Programming Language applied to Cultural Heritage. Principal Investigator of the BACK TO THE FUTURE’s project, developed together with the Museo of Antichità Egizie di Torino. Program Director of the Bachelor’s Degree in Architettura/Architecture of Politecnico di Torino since 2018.

Elisabetta Caterina Giovannini is research fellow at Department of Architecture and Design, DA of Politecnico di Torino. PhD in Architecture at Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna, with a curricula on documentation and representation of architectural heritage, she also obtains a postgraduate master’s degree in Digital Architecture at IUAV University of Venice. Since 2014 she is engaged in research activities in the areas of survey and representation of architecture mainly focused on digital acquisition, documentation and critical analysis of architectural and archaeological heritage through the use of the latest computer techniques and 3D digital models. In recent years she also ivestigates on the use of information technology to cultural heritage, digital archaeology, virtual recontructions and use of ontologies and BIM platforms to manage information about virtual reconstruction processes and museum collections.

Noemi Mafrici is research fellow in History of Architecture at Politecnico di Torino, Department of Architecture and Design, within the research project B.A.C.K. TO T.H.E. F.U.T.U.RE. She is PhD in Architectural and Landscape Heritage with a research on the transformation of Regent Street in London in the early 19th century, in the fields of history of the city and history of architecture, using also Digital Humanities methodology. She has been Visiting Graduate Researcher at the ‘Center for Digital Humanities (CDH)’ and at the ‘Cotsen Institute of Archaeology’, UCLA in 2017, for the research project ‘Cultural Heritage in Context: Digital Technologies for the Humanities’ working with an international team on visual archaeology, virtual reality, augmented reality and 3D reconstruction. She has been tutor assistant in ‘Urban History’ and ‘Digital History/GIS for Cultural Heritage’ courses at POLITO.
